Juxtaposed Uncertainty

Late Night Opening,Sat 24 January from 6pm - 8pm

Juxtaposed Uncertainty is a photographic exhibition by Leo Wang and Shanshan Wu that explores the lived experiences of migration and diaspora through acts of visual juxtaposition. For those shaped by displacement, photography becomes a way of seeing from in-between positions, across cultures, geographies, and temporalities.

The exhibition brings together 21 themes drawn from everyday life. Responding to each theme with a single photograph or a small series, the artists reflect on how transcultural experiences influence perception, memory, and artistic expression. Through these juxtapositions, the works trace movements of time and space while engaging with questions of intimacy, belonging, alienation, and uncertainty.

Rooted in both artistic practice and academic research, Juxtaposed Uncertainty situates photography as a method of thinking through migrant life, where personal narratives intersect with broader cultural and social contexts.
