This photograph was created as part of the ‘Bathroom Darkroom Project’ (2017–2018) and was exhibited in the Grosvenor Gallery, Manchester School of Art (2018) and the ‘Manifesto’ exhibition at Rogue Artists’ Studios (2018).
The project was a site-specific residency in a rented HMO bathroom, where artists explored the domestic space over one- or two-day residencies. Each resulting artwork was displayed alongside a scale model of the bathroom, creating a dialogue around the rental market, housing conditions, and domestic life.
